A number of people feared dead and others injured in road accident at Sofo Line in Kumasi

A number of people are feared dead last night following a fatal road accident at Sofo Line, a surburb of Kumasi.

Many others also sustained various degrees of injury while a number of vehicles mostly Mini Commercial buses have also been destroyed.

The accident occurred at about 7:50pm.

According to an eye witness account, a truck which supposedly had a break failure while descending a slope run into a number of both stationary and moving vehicles along the route resulting in the injuries and death.

Some personnel of the Sofo Line police station swiftly responded to the distress call to help.

Victims were rushed to the Komfo Anokye teaching hospital for emergency medical care.
