Oral vaccine for cholera to be introduced next year New Oral Vaccines for Cholera will be introduced in the country by June next year to deal with the persistent cholera outbreak in the country. The vaccine has up to three to five years protection period and does not have adverse effects. Arrangement is being made with the WHO and Global Alliance of Vaccines to bring in the vaccines into the country. The Director of Public Health Service, Dr Badu Sarkodie announced this in Accra at a training workshop organised by the Food and Drugs Authority and the Ghana Health Service. GBC
