Junior nurses gives 7-day ultimatum over unpaid salaries else strike Junior Nurses of Accra Psychiatric Hospital are on a sit down strike over unpaid salaries. They claim some of them who have worked for over a year have only been paid three months and others have worked eight months without salary. The Junior Nurses also claim several attempts to get the Ministry of Health and National Labour Commission to resolve the impasse have been fruitless. They are therefore giving a 7-day ultimatum to these institutions to pay their salaries and remaining arrears in full at the end of this month or they will embark on indefinite strike.
