Workers Union of MODEC denies dismissed workers reinstated reports

The Union Secretary of MODEC, Eric Ofori says contrary to reports making the rounds, none of the sacked workers of the company have been reinstated. 

Speaking to Radio Ghana, he said negotiations and dialogue sessions are ongoing. 

Mr Ofori indicated that the union wants the sacked workers reinstated unconditionally, a position he thinks has led to the deadlock. 

He did not disclose to Radio Ghana the Union's next line of action. 

Meanwhile, the Union Secretary of MODEC Eric Ofori says the emergency meeting between the Minister of Labour and the union over the reinstatement of dismissed workers has ended inconclusively.

Speaking to Radio Ghana, Mr Ofori said a second meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday.
