Government to increase LEAP allocations in 2015 The government will from next year increase beneficiary households under the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty, LEAP Programme from the current 77,006 to 150,000. The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lither disclosed this during the monitoring of the LEAP disbursement in some communities in Accra. She was accompanied by the British High Commissioner, Jon Benjamin and former Brazilian Minister for Social Protection, Mrs Marcia Carvalho Lopes. The team visited Mantse Agbonaa and the Weija Leprosarium disbursement centres.
