Ebola outbreak: Sierra Leone doctor dies in US

A surgeon from Sierra Leone who was being treated for Ebola in the US has died.

The surgeon, Martin Salia, who has US residency and is married to an American, arrived for treatment in the US last Saturday, in a critical condition.

He was pronounced dead Monday morning.

In a statement, the hospital where he was admitted, Nebraska Medical Center expressed condolence to the family.
