Russia deports Polish diplomats on violation of terms of employment Russia has deported a number of Polish diplomats for violating the terms of their employment in tit-for-tat retaliation for Poland's deportation of Russian diplomats. Reports from Moscow say the Russian side has taken adequate response measures and a number of Polish diplomats have already left the territory of the country for activities that are incompatible with their status. Poland earlier deported a number of Russian diplomats for the same reason. In mid-October, Polish media reported that the country's government was planning to deport Russian officials and journalists. In a related development an employee of the German Embassy in Moscow has been expelled in response to “unfriendly” activity from the German authorities in regard to a Russian employed in an institution in Germany.
