Gov't Says Lady Arrested In London for Alleged Drug Trafficking Has No Diplomatic Cover


Government says the lady, Nayeli Ametefeh, arrested at the Heathrow Airport in London, allegedly carrying 12 kilograms of cocaine did not travel on a Ghanaian diplomatic passport. 

She is also not acquainted with the first family. Rather, Madam Ametefeh, 32, travelled from Ghana on an Austrian passport number, P41876 59 on the ninth of this month. 

A statement issued by the Minister of Communications, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah said Nayeli Ametefeh also uses a Ghanaian passport
with the number G0364497. 

Madam Ametefeh has since been charged with attempting to import a class "a" drug and remanded on the 27th of this month at the Isle-worth Crown Court.
