GTPC Workers Union Start Strike On Tuesday in Solidarity With Sacked MODEC Workers Transport Petroleum and Chemical Workers Union of the TUC have declared a one day solidarity strike on Tuesday in solidarity with twenty-seven sacked staff of MODEC last month. All other affiliate member unions including TCR, Petroleum Tanker Drivers Union and BOST are to follow suit and lay down their tools. The General Secretary of the Union Fuseini Iddrisu, announced this at a media briefing in Accra. He said the strike is to press home their demand for the reinstatement of the workers. He added that the manner in which the workers were sacked is unjust and any effort to reinstate them will be done. GBC
