Diabetes Youth Care initiative inaugurated as part of World Diabetes Day 2014 celebration

An initiative, Diabetes Youth Care has been inaugurated in Sekondi to support young and adolescent diabetic patients in the Western Region as part of activities marking the celebration of World Diabetes Day 2014.

In an address, the Executive Director of the Programme, Dr Nana Ama Barnes, a Physician Specialist at the Effia - Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Sekondi said, managing Diabetes is expensive, and involves a lot of time and support for patients especially the Youth.
