Security Personnel’s at risk due to lack of vital items to check Ebola - Fritz Baffour

The Defense and Interior Committee of Parliament say the level of preparedness and availability of required logistics at the border posts put security personnel at risk if an Ebola infested person reports at the borders.

The Committee observed that Port Health personnel at the border posts lack vital items such as Protective Gear Ultra-violet non-contact thermometers and disinfectants.

The Chairman of the Defense and Interior Committee Fritz Baffour stated this on the floor of Parliament when he made a statement on the state of preparedness by security agencies manning Ghana’s border posts to prevent the possible entry and spread of Ebola.
