The Ghanaian Times supports the frequent international trips by President Mahama. According to the paper, Presidents Mahama's trips are necessary since it will secure international funding for the country's economy. To the Times, explanations provided by a leading member of the opposition NPP, Kwadwo Mpiani's in defense of President Mahama's trips is appropriate because the agenda is only aimed at changing the fortunes of the country. The paper therefore urges the opposition who are critics of the president's trip to look at the positive sides of those trips saying the country's railway, agriculture, education, housing industry, and other sectors will benefit greatly from those trips. 

The Heritage calls on government to be honest on the current state of Ebola preparedness in the country. The paper notes that honesty gave Nigeria an upper hand in their fight against the spread of the Ebola disease. The Heritage says honesty and integrity is vital in informing and educating the masses on such issues considering the porous nature of the country's transportation and the Ghanaian appetite for handshakes. The paper referring to the visit of the Parliamentary select committee on Defence and Interior to some border posts, says government's claim that the borders have been secured with enough equipment to tackle the disease proved to be untrue as front line personnel did not have any equipment. The Heritage therefore calls on government to be honest with Ghanaians and provide adequate funds to front line personnel to help in their work.
