UCF questions Parliament on ‘China Chairs’

The United Cadres Front of the NDC is questioning the commitment of state institutions in promoting Ghanaian businesses. 

This comes on the heels of the importation of chairs for parliament. 

The UCF says apart from the alleged poor quality of the chairs, the colours take away the Ghanaian symbols which used to accompany the old furniture. 

In a statement signed by the General Secretary, Efanam Felix Nyaku, the UCF says the Sub-Committee of Parliament for Water, Works and Housing, the Leadership of Parliament and the Parliamentary Service have all failed the nation by not only importing made-in-China chairs, but also demeaning the Ghanaian outlook of Parliament with the removal of ‘adinkra’ symbols. 

It also questions what it says is the desperate attempt by the GFA to engage a foreign coach for the Black Stars.
