Maintenance, key to good roads is how the Daily Graphic captures its editorial. It says it is concerned that most of the country's road network has not seen the necessary maintenance leading to the deplorable nature of some of the roads. The paper adds that out of Accra's 1,650 kilometres of roads, only 660 of them have been classified as good. This the paper notes does not augur well in the development of the country especially when roads are the facilitators of people goods and services. The paper says while the Department of Urban Roads is working at filling potholes and asphalting, that should also ensure that all roads are marked to improve safety. This move it says will also curtail the spate of road accidents. 

The Ghanaian Times says it is important for the country to take a second look at some of the previous of the constitution dealing with issues concerning the oath of office, during the absence of the President and the Vice. This call comes after a controversial issue that dominated the national discourse about the speakers useful to be sworn in to fill the Presidential vacuum to the Presidency to ensure that the two most important state men do not travel outside the country at the same time to create such a vacuum. 

The General Telegraph is urging the Ghana Standards Authority to implement the Ghana Conformity Assessment Programme, GCAP without further delay. This is because fake conformity certificates in the possession of importers have always played a significant role in aiding importers to bring in shoddy goods. By faking certificates of conformity some importers of shoddy products have often outwitted imports inspectors. When implementation of the G-Cap begins, products to be shipped to Ghana will be inspected by Ghana Standards Authority's service providers in the exporting country and where the products conform to standard, a certificate of conformity will be issued by our service providers. This is a procedure we believe will help minimize the importation of counterfeit products into the country.
