TV3 reporter assaulted by sympathizers of Ali Gabass, alleged ‘sodomy doctor’ A TV3 reporter, Peter Quoa Adator was this morning assaulted by sympathizers of the Takoradi medical practitioner Sulley Ali Gabass accused of sodomising a sixteen year old student. Mr Adator sustained injuries on both elbows and right finger as a result of a kick from a supporter of the accused person landing him on the ground. Adator's trousers got torn in the process. The reporter was also heckled by the teeming crowd who tried to prevent him from taking shots of Ali Gabass. Earlier the Circuit Court presided over by Mrs. Rita Agyemang Budu heard the case in camera. The doctor on his second appearance pleaded not guilty to defilement and unnatural carnal knowledge and has been remanded into prison custody. According to the prosecution last September, Ali Gabass made friends with the victim on Facebook. The two then arranged and met at Kasoa New Market where the doctor had anal sex with the boy in his car. Two months later the two met again at the same venue and committed the act after which Ali Gabass gave him a mobile phone and 20Ghana cedis. After a number of encounters, the victim fell sick and was diagnosed HIV positive while on admission at the surgical ward at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. The case has been adjourned to the 25th of this month. Source: GBC
