National Best Farmers officially handed keys to three-bedroom house

The Minister of Food and Agriculture, Fiifi Kwetey, says government is introducing policy interventions to empower farmers to produce enough food for home consumption and export.

He said the ministry is looking beyond food security to food sufficiency.

Mr. Kwetey stated this when the ministry officially handed over keys to the three-bedroom houses to the 2012 and 2013 National Best Farmers in Accra.

This follows the completion of the houses by the Agricultural Development Bank, ADB, main sponsors of the National Farmers Day.

The houses cost 200,00 dollars. Mr. Kwetey lauded the ADB for sponsoring the programme over the years.
