Engineering road problems a contributing factor to Tema reckless driving & traffic The Tema Regional Police Commander of the Motor Traffic and Transport Department, Superintendent Oduro Amaning says most road networks in the metropolis have engineering problems. This according to him contributes to reckless driving and compound traffic management in Tema. In an interview with Radio Ghana, Superintendent Amaning said road safety and traffic management is a shared and collective responsibility and all must ensure they play their role accordingly. He expressed worry over the manner in which some motorists conduct themselves on the roads and cautioned those who flout road regulations to desist from the act since those caught will be dealt with. Superintendent Amaning entreated the public to support the police in combating reckless driving by motorists. He charged passengers not to put pressure on drivers to speed since it is an offense. Superintendent Amaning asked passengers to rather allow them to drive at the required speed limit to safe guard their own lives. He also expressed concern over the phenomenon of people driving without license and the use of unapproved routes. GBC
