Brouhaha Over 2nd-Tier Pension: ICU Lauds One Week Ultimatum To Government

The General Secretary of the Industrial and Commercial Workers Union (ICU), Solomon Kotei, says the eight out of the twelve Unions that have called off their strike giving government a week’s ultimatum are in the right direction.

Speaking to Radio Ghana at Kasunya in the Shai Osudoku District, he said the one week ultimatum should not be seen as a threat as some labour experts are saying.

He said it is clear that government is playing with the future of public workers since the issues raised by the twelve Unions on the second tier pension are not being given the needed attention.
