ECG Launches Second Safety, Health And Environmental Awareness Week The Electricity Company of Ghana Limited (ECG] has launched its second Safety, Health and Environmental awareness week with the call on Ghanaians to use electricity wisely ,maintain their electrical gadgets properly and desist from illegal connection to prevent accidents which in some cases leads to death. The Executive Director of the Safety Training Academy Ghana Limited, Nana Annor Amihere, described illegal connection by third party contractors as unprofessional, criminal and unpatriotic. Speaking at a launch of the 2nd Safety, health and environmental awareness week of the ECG, Nana Annor Amihere explained that these illegal acts mostly involves the use of fake electrical wires which endangers the lives of Ghanaians in general. The managing Director of ECG, William Hutton Mensah urged the Safety Health and Environment (SHE) division of the company to be effective in enforcing the company's rules, operating procedures, Transport policy and other codes of practice recommended at the national level. He also advised all employees to practice a higher level to safety awareness in the performance of their daily jobs. GBC
