Ghana - Togo border post inaugurated at Noepe near Togo

A joint border post between Ghana and Togo has been inaugurated at Noepe near Togo. 

The inaugural ceremony was jointly done by President John Mahama and Togo President Faure Gnassingbe. 

The border post to be manned by security personnel from both countries is to further give impetus to the free movement of persons and goods in line with ECOWAS Protocol. 

President Mahama warned security personnel to avoid mounting illegal check points and extorting money from traders who use the route.
