The Ghanaian Times is calling on the government especially the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources to descend heavily on Fulani Herdsmen and flush them out of the Pikro Forest Reserve. The paper is worried that Ghana's once ever green forests are being degraded at an alarming rate with livelihoods of future generations hanging in the balance. The paper says it is unfortunate that local authorities, security agencies and the forestry commission have looked on while the Fulani herdsmen continue to degrade. It charges the police and institutions in charge of preserving the forest to wake up from their slumber and do the job for which they are being paid. 

The Daily Heritage believes that the AMA can be more successful in their quest to ensure good, sanitation by constructing many a lot more of standard toilet facilities. It says this will not only urge people to abandon the pit latrine system but also serve as an income generation venture for the AMA.  The paper says warnings alone is not enough because not everyone can afford a water closet. The heritage further urges people to report to the AMA households within the Metropolis without toilet facilities.
