ECG launches Energy Conservation Campaign

The Electricity Company of Ghana says about four hundred megawatts of power is wasted annually through the misuse of the commodity.

As part of measures to solve the problem, a campaign for energy conservation has been launched.

This is to ensure that every house hold or office conserves one megawatt of energy every day to make for the short fall of 300 thousand megawatts.

The executive Secretary of the Energy Commission who made this known at the launch of the campaign in Accra said there is no economy that has grown without relying on energy.
