The Daily Graphic says there is the need to reduce the scope of students who benefit from the students Loan Trust. On Monday, the paper disclosed more than 35,000 beneficiaries owe the fund GH¢ 78 million with some of them taking the loans as far back as 2005. This, the paper says is due to bureaucracy in the system and the fact that the loans are not targeted at those really in need. According to the paper, the SSNIT loan scheme collapsed because of such challenges and this should not be allowed to happen again.  The Graphic believes if the loans are targeted at the needy it will reduce the bureaucracy in managing the scheme and enhance efficiency. 

''The Circle Interchange Deadline Must be Met'' so says the Ghanaian Times editorial. The paper draws attention to the importance of the Kwame Nkrumah circle in Accra, saying it is vital that contractors work to meet the 2016 deadline. It says any delay will incur an additional cost which can worsen the country's fragile economy. The Times appeals to traders who are refusing to vacate the area to do so to allow the contractors room to work, because their continuous presence there is dangerous especially as heavy equipment  are used in the construction. The paper also appeals to government to find ways of resettling the traders to pave the way for the contractor to continue with the project without any hindrance.
