5,000 Hole-In-Heart Cases Diagnosed In Ghana

Averagely, there are 5,000 cases of hole-in-heart patients in Ghana. 

Speaking at a media briefing on the 2014 'Save the Heart Concert' in Accra, the Director of the National Cardiothoracic Centre at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Dr Lawrence Serebuor, noted that out of one hundred births, one or two are born with hole-in-heart. 

Dr Serebuor hopes this year's concert will increase awareness about the disease and attract more people to support patients with hole-in-heart.
