Nigeria: 30 children reportedly abducted by Boko Haram Reports say about 30 children aged as young as 11 years have been abducted in northeast Nigeria over the weekend by suspected Boko Haram rebels. The rebels took away boys aged 13 and over and some girls aged 11. Some witnesses also said about 17 people have also been killed in recent days in a Boko Haram attack. Boko Haram, which has been waging a bloody insurgency since 2009, has been responsible for waves of attacks and abductions.
