LaDMA clean up exercise to reclaim Kpeshie, La Beach Waste management, which is one of the major sanitation concerns in Ghana now, is being taken to the highest level through public-private initiatives. It is in this light that the La Dade-Kotopon Municipal Assembly (LADMA) with support from Clean Ghana Now (CGN), Nshorna and Think Ghana, assisted by the 48th Engineers Regiments are leading about 500 community members to clean and begin the reclamation of the Kpeshie Estuary and a major part of the La Beach front. A member of Clean Ghana Now, Miss Sarah Asafo Adjaye tells Rosemary Gaisie tomorrow's exercise shows that keeping a clean environment is not the sole responsibility of the government. According to Miss Asafo Adjaye tomorrow's clean up and education campaign will pave the way for the local authorities to enforce the sanitation laws even stricter. Source: GBC
