DVLA to ensure all existing vehicles comply with seat belts regulations by June next year

The Chief Executive Officer of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Rudolph Beckley, says the Authority this year registered only vehicles fitted with seat belts.

Meanwhile an implementation programme has been outlined to ensure that all existing vehicles comply with the seat belt regulations by June next year.

He was speaking at a media briefing on the current road safety situation.
