Call For Change In Curriculum Of Basic Schools

The President of Ghana Mathematics Society, Professor Sitsofe Anku, has called for a change in the curriculum of basic schools. 

He said the syllabus must be made practicable for students rather than the abstract method of teaching.

He said the wholesale adaptation of foreign curriculum without regard to Ghanaians circumstances is absolutely wrong.

Professor Anku was speaking at a capacity building in mathematics for media personnel in Accra.
