Russia allocate $19 million to support the fight against Ebola in West Africa

Russia is to allocate 19 million dollars to fight the Ebola outbreak in some West African Countries.

A statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry said Moscow has been consistently stepping up efforts to provide support to the ebola effort.

Reports say some disbursements have already been made and some yet to be made.

President Vladimir Putin said Russian experts are studying the possibility of deploying planes with special medical equipment, including life-support capsules for transporting Ebola-infected patients.

Moscow is also considering sending additional healthcare workers to the affected Countries in order to stop the spread of the virus.

A team of Russian medical experts have already been stationed in Guinea, where the current Ebola epidemic started.
