Ghana Is A Tough Opposition – Dussuyer

Dussuyer, head coach of the Guinea national team has rated Ghana’s Black Stars as a worthy opposition.

The Syli Nationale lost 1-3 to the Black Stars in Tamale on Wednesday and Dussuyer said “We tried our best and we were hoping to win or draw but unfortunately we couldn’t pick any point because our opponents are experienced, tactically disciplined and very difficult to beat.

“We tried our best but it was a difficult game for us. As a coach, naturally am worried that I lost but I am not so worried that I lost to an experienced football nation such as Ghana.

“When we equalized in the 35th minute, it increased our hopes that we could pick a point but the penalty against us demoralized us and I am disappointed we could not pick a point”, he said.

On qualification to the competition, he said, “qualification is still wide open to any of the teams in the group and I will not write off my side”.

Meanwhile, striker Ibrahima Traore was gracious in defeat. “I think we played very well and deserved a win but the best side carried the day.”

 “We were hoping for a win or a draw but there was a penalty against us, which I am not sure was really a penalty but on the whole we did well but lost the best side”.

Ghana beat the visitors 3-1 with goals from Asamoah Gyan, Andre Ayew and Emmanuel Agyemang Badu wrapping up victory.
