Ghana commemorates World Standards Day

Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Kweku Ricketts-Hagan, has asked consumers to be safety conscious to avoid exposure to long-term diseases. 

He bemoaned the current consumption trend which is influenced by western lifestyles. 

Mr Hagan urged Ghanaians to concentrate on improving the quality locally manufactured products to stand the test of global competition. 

Speaking at the 45th World Standards Day, Mr Hagan emphasized the need for manufacturers to add value to their products.
