Journalists trained On Access To Safe Abortion And Contraceptive Services

The Chief Executive Officer of Global Media Foundation, GLOMEF, an NGO, Raphael Godlove Ahenu, has asked the media to increase awareness on the legal status of abortion and contraceptive use. 

He said a Ghana Medical Health Survey has revealed that seven percent of all pregnancies end in abortion while 15% of women from ages 15 to 49 have had abortion before. 

Mr Ahenu was addressing more than 60 Media owners, Editors and Reporters on access to safe abortion and contraceptive services in Sunyani, the Brong Ahafo Regional Capital.
