Civil Service Moves To Check Corruption In Ghana

The Acting Head of the Civil Service, Nana Agyekum Dwamena, says the Service has currently closed all personnel processing points, a move aimed at checking corruption and gain total control over the personnel system. 

Speaking at the induction and orientation for newly appointed Chief Directors for the Ministries in Accra, Mr Dwamena agrees that subsequent regimes have not aggressively enforced the laws on corruption. 

He said until some governance structures are reviewed and strengthened, corruption will continue to rob the nation. 

He debunked the notion that poor remuneration is the reason for the high levels of corruption in the country.
