Boat Owners On Volta Lake On Strike

Boat owners on the Volta Lake especially those who ply the Abotoase market in the Volta Region are on strike.

The sit down strike which began on Sunday is to press home their concerns for equal access to premix fuel like their other colleagues in coastal communities.

Speaking to Radio Ghana, the Local Chairman of the Boat Operators at Abotoase, Vincent Abotsi said the lack of access to premix fuel is hampering the activities of outboard motor operators.

He is appealing to government to come to their aid so they get the commodity.
