Work Of The President’s Security Detail

It was a near paradox as the President tried to reach out to crowds that had milled around him in the north but duty bound to protect him, the President's security did their best to ward off the surging crowds. For the politician, his constituency is the people, but a balance must always be drawn between the desire to engage with crowds and personal security. Even where the VVIP want to exchange greetings with people, say, at a durbar, state security are obliged by the law to provide a cordon.
