Government To Streamline Operations Of National Service Scheme Government is to streamline the operations of the National Service Scheme, NSS to make it more efficient and transparent. Deputy Minister of Education, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said this in response to the ongoing financial malfeasance being investigated by the Bureau of National Investigation. He cited the ICT and other Departments that will undergo major reforms. According to him, President Mahama will not hesitate to take swift action against officers who will be found culpable. Mr Ablakwa was speaking after a crunch meeting between the Board of the Scheme and the Ministry of Education. The NSS Boss and other top management of the Scheme have been asked to step aside while the BNI carry out investigation into an alleged payment of GH¢ 7.9 million to non-existing National Service personnel.
