Media houses advised to develop business management skills to become economically self-sufficient The vibrancy of the media in ensuring transparency and accountability in the extractive industry depends largely on their independence. This however cannot be possible when they are not economically sustainable. Media houses have therefore been advised to develop business management skills to enable them to become economically self-sufficient. These were the observations of the Director of the Tanzania Media Fund, Ernest Sungura, during an interaction with members of the Institute of Financial and Economic Journalists, IFEJ in Dar es Salaam Tanzania.
