Ministry of Youth and Sports to take steps to retrieve lands from encroachers.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports says action will soon be taken to retrieve lands acquired for a National sports complex at Nungua from encroachers.

The Chief Director Alhaji Abdullahi Yakubu said the lands were acquired from the Nungua Stool and Regimanuel Estates at a valued price of two million Ghana cedis, unfortunately the lands were not used for the intended purpose.

Alhaji Yakubu said currently some people have encroached on the said lands because government is yet to pay compensation to the owners. Alhaji Yakubu said this when he appeared before the Judgement Debt Commission in Accra.
