Indian leader calls for concerted effort against "brutal" terrorism


Efforts to stop terrorists cannot be effective if there are people who talk about what is being called "good or bad terrorism."
That's according to the Prime Minister of India.

In his address to the UN General Assembly on Saturday, Narendra Modi said that Asia has been facing the problem of terrorism and instability for the last four decades.
Speaking through an interpreter, he called for concerted efforts to fight against terrorist networks.

"Even today some countries are giving refuge to international terrorists and they consider terrorism to be a tool of their policy – good terrorism and bad terrorism – this is what we hear these days. There is a question mark on our struggle to fight against terrorism. The brutal return of terrorism in West Asia and its impact on countries far and near calls for a concerted effort."

Prime Minister Modi said all countries should participate in and contribute to the fight against terrorism.
