Media Politicisation Represses the Fight Against Corruption

Over politicisation of the media landscape is said to be hindering the fight against corruption.

Although the media have been exposing some issues of corruption, there is the need to do more.

These are the views of the Head of Media and Communication Studies at the Pentecost University, Dr. Frank Asare Donkor.

Speaking on Radio Ghana's Current Affairs Programe, Behind the News, Dr. Donkor said the media can do more to help the democratic process by dismantling their political divide.

The Executive Secretary of Ghana Integrity Initiative Vitus Azeem also bemoaned the politicisation of the media.

He said this is hindering the fight against corruption.

He enumerated other factors affecting the fight against corruption.
