MUSIGA supports aged musicians The Musicians Union of Ghana, MUSIGA, has presented a cheque for GH¢ 40,000.00 to its Academy and GH¢ 60,000.00 to the Ageing Musicians Welfare Fund. This is to support musicians above 60 and also young musicians in need. The President of MUSIGA, Bice Osei Kuffour, said most musicians especially the aged experience financial difficulties because of challenges such as bad contracts and inappropriate collection of royalties. He hoped the fund will help address the myriad of challenges confronting them and also improve their productivity and livelihood. GBC
