US to Take Action Against Islamic State Disregarding 'Geography or Borders'

US Secretary of State, John Kerry, says America will not allow borders to stand in the way of its campaign against the Islamic State (IS) militant group.

This was at a media conference after a meeting with Iraqi President Fuad Masum.

Tuesday, President Barack Obama pledged to continue the fight against IS militants and to build up the anti-IS international coalition, which now involves more than 40 countries.

The United States carried out a number of air strikes against IS positions in Syria using aircraft, drones and Tomahawk missiles.

Report says Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates also took part in the attacks.
