Libya asks UN Security Council to deploy Arab peacekeepers 

The permanent representative of Libya to the United Nations, Ibrahim Dabbashi, has called on the U.N. Security Council to form an Arab peacekeeping force for disarmament of all armed groups in Libya.

He said the whole world must be aware of the seriousness of the political and security situation in his country.

The mission is to disarm these groups, especially of heavy weapons.
