Government urged to sponsor Ghanaians to acquire technical competence in oil and gas industry

The Manager of the Jubilee Oil and Gas Technical Training Centre in Takoradi Polytechnic, Mathew Kweku Gyan, has asked government to support Ghanaians through sponsorship to acquire technical competence to enable them to participate fully in the oil and gas industry. 

Mr Gyan said it is sad that Ghanaians are not taking advantage of the Centre to acquire skills to enable them to position themselves in the spirit of local content to work on the oil fields. 

The Manager of the Centre said this when some selected journalists undergoing training in Oil and Gas Reporting under the Sponsorship of the Natural Resource Governance Institute and Penplusbytes visited the Centre at Takoradi Polytechnic.
