Pressure Group calls off intended demo against gov't scheduled for Monday Pressure group, Concerned Ghanaians for Responsible Governance, has called off its intended demonstration against the government, scheduled for Monday September 22. The group’s Executive Secretary, Rodney Hyde Longdon, says the leadership arrived at the decision after several suggestions by its membership to that effect. In an interview with an Accra based FM Station, Starrfm, Mr. Londong said the postponement is meant to help the members be part of community service activities lined up to commemorate National Volunteers Day on Monday, which coincides with the day of the demonstration. The group had its first demonstration dubbed ‘#OccupyFlagstaffHouse’ on July 1, 2014 over economic hardships in the country. The leadership presented a 21-pointer petition to the presidency about issues they wanted addressed by the President. The latest demonstration was meant to demand results from the president concerning the earlier petition. GBC
