Ghana launches blood foundation

It is estimated that only five out of every one thousand people donate blood in Ghana.

This has been described by experts as inadequate.

The Director of the National Blood Service, Dr.Justina Ansah said many patients die needlessly due to their inability to access blood.

Speaking at the launch of Blood Foundation Ghana, in Accra yesterday, Dr Ansah urged more people to donate to help save lives.
