The Daily Graphic bemoans the dismissal of the Head Coach of the Black Stars, Kwesi Appiah. The paper says the terse letter did not state reasons for the termination of the contract, hence it sees this act to be the trend of the GFA, treating local coaches with contempt, disdain and disrespect. The paper calls on the Ministry of Youth and Sports to state its position on the matter. 

The Ghanaian Times commends the management of COCOBOD for securing the Receivable Backed Trade Finance Facility deal for cocoa purchases for the 2014/2015 crop season which will benefit farmers and the economy in general. The paper says the availability of such a fund will improve the liquidity situation of the economy and support other interventions by government for external shocks. The Times hopes the money would be made available in good time to enable the Board to honour its payment to farmers on time. 

The Daily Heritage makes reference to International Day of Democracy, a day set aside to promote and uphold the principles of democracy as well as raise public awareness. The paper says democracy shares common features and so it does not belong to any country or region. Rather, it is a universal value based on the political, economic, social and cultural systems. The paper therefore urges the youth to resist politicians who hire them to spill blood in the name of politics.
