MMDAs tasked to ensure strict hygiene practices under School Feeding Programme

The Public Relations Officer of the National School Feeding Programme, Siba Abass, says all MMDA's have been tasked to ensure strict hygiene practices by caterers under the programme to prevent any cholera outbreak as school re open on Tuesday. 

Speaking to Radio Ghana, Mr Abass, said supervisors will be going round to ensure safety of foods prepared by the caterers and also check that they adhered to the laid down rules for food preparation.

The Director of Public Affairs at the GES, Charles Parker Allotey said the usual tour by the service on the first day at school will take place as schedule.

He added that the GES will leave no stone unturned to ensure that every pupil is adequately protected from cholera.
