Russia suggest International Conference to study terrorism Russia has suggested the convening of an international conference for a comprehensive study of terrorism and extremism in the Middle East and North Africa. Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov who disclosed this in Moscow said Russia has put forward an initiative, to be considered by all regional and international powers, of launching a well-prepared international conference for a deep and comprehensive study into the problems. Such a conference must be held under the auspices of the UN Security Council. Mr Lavrov said, the “underlying causes should be studied, not just symptoms of the steep rise in extremism globally.
