Food and Beverage Association threatens court action against implementation of proposed Ghana Conformity Assessment programme Importers and Exporters have asked government especially parliament to intervene on their behalf to stop the Ghana Standards Authority from implementing the proposed Ghana Conformity Assessment programme, GCAP. In addition, the Food and Beverage Association has also called on the Legislature to interpret the mandate of the GBA and the FDB because they are facing duplication of laws and taxes. The Executive Secretary of the Importers and Exporters Association, Sampson Awingobic, says if the GSA fails to withdraw the Conformity Assessment programme, the Association will have no option than to go the court for an injunction.
